About Matt LehrmanMatt Lehrman is the founding Executive Director of Alliance for Audience, a 501c3 non-profit organization that was incorporated in September, 2003 to advance the mutual "audience development" goals of the arts organizations and cultural destinations of the Greater Phoenix region and has since grown to serve Metro Tucson and Flagstaff as well. While foundation grants and corporate contributions were essential to its creation, its entrepreneurial business model is expected to drive Alliance for Audience’s on-going operations. Today, Alliance for Audience serves more than 200 member organizations which span Arizona's wealth of offerings in theater, music, dance, art, festivals and cultural attractions. Alliance for Audience is best known to the public as ShowUp.com and its family of services. Alliance for Audience was named Arts Organization of the Year, 2005 by the Arts & Business Council and received the Governors Tourism Award for Innovation Promotion, 2007. In addition, Matt Lehrman received the 2005 Distinguished Service Award from the AriZoni Theatre Awards of Excellence. Previously, Matt Lehrman served nine years with the Scottsdale Cultural Council (the independent non-profit organization that manages the arts and cultural affairs of City of Scottsdale, Arizona) as the Director of Marketing for the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. Matt Lehrman moved to Arizona in 1988 and served as a Corporate Sales Officer for Citibank, and then as Director of Sales & Marketing for Bank of Scottsdale. Prior to that, Matt held positions as a staff lobbyist in Washington D.C. for the National Association of Realtors and the Mortgage Bankers Association of America. |
